I'm so unbelievably grateful for having had you in our corner the last few months Kez. Your gentle reassuring presence, wise words & deep knowledge made the world of difference to us. It was perfect in every way. A walk in the park, pottering round the house and a swift final stage. No pushing, just my body doing what it knew to do. No tearing! I feel great honestly.
— Sarah & Will, Freebirth

I have a healthy, beautiful baby that entered the world in a wonderful and natural way without using any medical pain relief, which still shocks me! I’m beyond grateful.
I would highly recommend Kez, she’s bubbly, friendly and extremely reassuring. She will be your biggest cheerleader and the biggest asset to your support team. I will never forget how special this birth was to me and my family!
Caz & Rich, Freebirth
Hi! I'm Kez
and this is my mission....
As a mum of two, with personal experience of both hospital birth and freebirth, I’m deeply passionate about supporting and educating expectant parents to make safe, logical, and aligned choices for themselves and their babies—whether that’s in the woods, in an operating theatre, or anywhere in between. Improving outcomes, satisfaction, and long-term health and wellbeing for families through open-minded, holistic support is at the heart of what I do.

Birth is powerful and transformational. It lays the foundation for your health and wellbeing—and that of your baby—shaping you both for a lifetime. It’s so much more than “just a day.”

My journey into motherhood began with tokophobia—a deep fear of childbirth—during my first pregnancy. At that time, I honestly believed that simply surviving birth would be the best outcome. We completed a hypnobirthing course and went on to have a smooth hospital birth. I gave all the credit to hypnobirthing, though now I understand that luck also played a role.

I started teaching mainstream hypnobirthing after the birth of our son, and I realised that most clients were still ending up with over-medicalised births and unnecessary interventions, and that babies and parents were sometimes coming to harm and trauma despite preparation. I thought I was doing a good job—but hypnobirthing alone wasn’t enough.

By the time I was pregnant with our second baby, everything I had learned made home birth the clear choice. Through research, self-trust, and full ownership of our decisions, we ultimately chose to freebirth.

That experience changed how I teach and support parents. Preparation must go beyond breathing techniques and cute affirmations—it’s about confidence, autonomy, and facing the uncomfortable truths. It’s understanding how birth has changed over the last 150 years, making informed choices, taking responsibility, and considering your baby’s experience and the story you want to tell them about their birth.
While I know freebirth isn’t the path for everyone, I believe it deserves to be part of the conversation—just like cesareans—when exploring all birth options and eventualities.

Today, I’m honoured to walk alongside families with compassionate, individualised care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood. My approach is fun, grounded, and rooted in respect, autonomy, and informed choice. I believe in the ripple effect of a single powerful birth, and how it can change the narrative—turning scary, traumatic birth stories into a story of birth as a beautiful, sacred family event.

Most clients birth confidently at home avoiding unnecessary interventions, and those who choose hospital birth are empowered to get the care and respect they deserve.

She was born at home, all 9lb6oz of her and I couldn’t have wished for a better birth! Zero interventions/examinations, no pain relief just breathing. 4hrs of active labour, and 5 minutes of pushing. My partner did such a great job advocating for me.
Thank you so much for your support and guidance, it really gave us the confidence to do things ‘our way’. I’m so proud of myself, and really grateful to have had this experience especially after the boys. It leaves me wondering why aren’t we told how powerful we are?!
— Anon, Homebirth

Kez provides such an informative, warm, positive and person-centred service that my partner and I don’t know where we would be had we not taken all we learned and applied it throughout my pregnancy, labour and postpartum! I highly recommend Kez, she has done a stellar job in teaching us everything we needed to know, been a friendly face throughout my pregnancy and beyond, who is always available to reach out to for support and her service has been worth every penny.
— Megan & Nate, Homebirth

It was the best birth ever! So empowering, emotional and full of love! I knew even when I mentioned birthing in hospital the other day that I wasn't going to be going and my body knew too! We worked together and WOW, he's perfect! A HUGE thank you. All of your work and techniques worked amazingly!
— Jade & Jake, Homebirth

Thank you Kez, You've honestly been the best support throughout. I couldn't have done it without you. You gave us the confidence to make informed decisions and gave us control over the most special experience of our lives where so many people don't get to experience birth like this. It was perfect.

FAQs
...because good decisions start with good questions!
Do you only support people planning a homebirth or freebirth? No. I support all birth choices. Many of my clients birth happily at home because they feel they have the knowledge, evidence and confidence to know it's the safest choice for them, and those who choose hospital are far better equipped to get the care and respect they deserve. I do not believe that there is a "right" way to give birth. The idea that breathing your baby out in water at home with fairy lights is the "best" way is honestly harmful and causes people to feel shame. No thank you! Whether you yell your baby out on your kitchen floor, choose an elective cesarean for any reason or go and squat in a stream with someone playing panpipes.. I don't care, and nor should you, about how your birth looks. How it feels will always be what makes a birth powerful.
What makes your classes different from hypnobirthing or standard antenatal? Most childbirth classes focus on what happens and what to expect birthing on the labour ward. "This is the kind of birth we do, here's what you can expect". With me, you will dive much deeper into what's taking place in your body and for your baby during pregnancy and birth. We will explore what helps and hinders the smooth unfolding of labour and why your choices around where you birth and who you birth with matters. Not to mention your expectations and how you do NOT have to lower them! Alternatively, hypnobirthing focuses on staying calm and "positive vibes", all very lovely but we won't settle for surface level calm, you want to know you can stay calm and confident even in the face of change. Unwavering faith in your own ability. You want to feel powerful regardless of how your birth unfolds. We won't spend time denying possible outcomes, rather giving them consideration so they no longer feel scary. We may also explore our relationships, self-love, sex and even death as it is all very much linked. You won't find conversations like this in any other class.
Why do you charge more than the mainstream classes? Because I offer more than mainstream classes! Most hypnobirthing courses give you relaxation techniques, some breathing, and a bit of theory. Helpful, yes—but often not enough to prevent unnecessary intervention, trauma, or disappointment. I used to teach mainstream classes and sadly, client birth stories often reflected what was lacking in what I taught. With me, you get: Personalised, individualised, tailored support (not a cookie-cutter script). *Continuity of care via Whatsapp meaning I'm available between classes and until your baby is 3 months old to answer questions, support you through wobbles, offer guidance and be your cheerleader! A bespoke blend of evidence, intuition, and practical tools that work for you and your dream experience. Prioritising power over "positive" and knowing the difference! An experienced guide who’s walked the path herself (hospital birth, freebirth, and everything in between) with oodles of resources, client stories and lived experience having worked with many families. *Included with the All Birth Things Package and available as an add on to any other package.
Will this still help me if I know I want (or need) a hospital birth or cesarean? Absolutely. You’ll gain the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the maternity system confidently and ensure your birth still feels safe and respectful. Knowing your rights, your birth partners role in advocacy and striking the balance between natural and medically managed birth will give you the best possible chance of having the birth you and your baby deserve.
What if my partner isn’t as interested in birth prep as I am? That’s really common. After all, the typical narrative is that a birth partners job is to simply "be there"! But doing what exactly? Saying well done, having a go on the gas and air and letting you squeeze their hand is so 2024! We are ready for the new era of birth partners and let me tell you they are something to behold! Their role is to support you—not hold you back with their fears and definitely not mock you. Your birth partner will be shown practical ways to protect, support, and advocate for you, without cheesy scripts or awkward roleplay. They are so valuable, yet often neglected in the journey to parenthood. Once they understand how fear and disturbance can derail birth, they usually see the value in preparing too. The result? Less fear, more beautiful, loving support, and often a deeper connection between you both.
Do your classes replace NHS/hospital antenatal care, or do they work alongside it? Great question, tricky to answer without sounding savage but here goes! Sadly, looking at current statistics and outcomes, it is apparent that these free hospital run classes and even other popular childbirth classes that people pay for, only (very loosely) prepare parents for the kind of birth on offer in hospitals. Heavily focusing on inductions, medical pain relief options and some very basic baby care. Often not discussing evidence around interventions, options like homebirth or your rights. I do understand though that they can be good for meeting other expectant parents, be warned you are unlikely to have a birth story like theirs if you work with me!
How will this actually lower my chances of intervention or trauma? When you’re informed, confident, and undisturbed, birth unfolds more smoothly. Once you feel less fearful and have more knowledge, you can then start making choices that reduce the chance of unnecessary disturbance which in turn reduces the chance of complications and the need for interventions. Less chance of unnecessary interventions, less chance of trauma. Higher chance of coming away not just alive and grateful but truly joyful and with your whole health intact and with a baby who has had the chance to complete their development in your womb and reap the life long benefits of a physiological birth.
When is best to start working with you? Ideally you would be booked in with me by 20 weeks gestation but the earlier the better, especially if you want to benefit from my WhatsApp support from booking to 3 months post partum. This means I'm on hand throughout your pregnancy guiding you and there to listen if you come up against any hurdles. I appreciate that you may be coming across me later on in your pregnancy and that's ok, better late than never right!? I can tailor my packages to suit you so if your low on time, we can absolutely work with it.
Why can't I book online through your website? Three main reasons for this, most importantly, I feel clients benefit more when we connect personally before booking and I offer a free 30 minute call to make sure we are a good fit and I can serve you in the way you need me to. We also have busy lives and booking a number of regular days and times through an online calendar typically leads to problems with needing to reschedule anyway! Secondly, I'm a birth expert, not a tech wizard, I've done this website by myself (very proud) but have no desire to figure out fancy booking systems when I much prefer to talk to real humans! Finally... even though I'm using Wix, they are linked to people who fund atrocities in the world and I cannot give them my money simply for a slightly fancier website.
